From 27–28 February 2026, a consultation meeting titled “Alternative Draft Law on Non-Governmental Organisations: Consolidating Civil Society Positions” was held to discuss ongoing legal reform and strengthen shared civil society positions.
During the two-day meeting, representatives of civil society organisations exchanged views on the proposed reform of the Law on Non-Governmental Organisations, reviewed the content and key provisions of the alternative draft law, and discussed potential implications for civil society organisations.
Participants also considered future areas of joint action, advocacy priorities, and strategic directions, with the aim of developing stronger and more coordinated civil society positions on the proposed legal framework.
The consultation created a space for participating organisations to share their perspectives, identify areas of common concern, and discuss how civil society can engage collectively in the law reform process.
The meeting was facilitated and moderated by D. Enkhjargal, National Coordinator of the MONFEMNET National Network.
