Prevention Gender Based Violence Mechanism in Education (Safe School)

The Safe School approach is a methodology created to help educators and students explore what makes a healthy, vibrant, and positive school and guide them through a process to create their vision. It aims to create a violence-free learning environment within which students develop their skills and confidence to grow into creative, constructive and thoughtful community members.

 

1. Develop design and pilot prevention of GBV mechanism at the target schools

  1. Prepare the multistakeholder team based on a participatory approach to preventing GBV in the school environment.
  2. Awareness raising and behavioral change students/pupils/the multi-stakeholders at schools about human rights, child rights, respective principles, transparency, and safe school environment
  3. Create and introduce practices on the school governance, internal policies and procedures, culture, child rights, gender, and gender equality.
  4. Establish a “Safe School” movement to create a safe school environment.
