“Hands Up for Your Rights” Youth campaign
The “Hands Up For Your Rights” campaign is a youth-focused initiative that aims to promote a culture of valuing human rights, freedom, democracy, gender justice, and social justice in a fun and flexible way. The campaign encourages the personal development, civic education, and creativity of young people while also increasing their participation.
All of the campaign’s activities are designed to help young people become more confident, develop a high sensitivity to human rights, freedom, and gender, receive civic education, protect their own and others’ rights, solve problems peacefully and creatively, and develop critical thinking skills.
The campaign offers gender-sensitive human rights training for educators and peers, community events such as the Freedom Parade and Human Rights Festival, Erhuulei workshops and comics for school-aged children, informal meetings, and parties to encourage camaraderie and networking among youth participants.
All campaign activities are based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, openness, tolerance, joint decision-making, and joint responsibility. The campaign is organized by the “Hogjitsgooy” youth club, MONFEMNET, and Amnesty International of Mongolia.
